November 1, 1910: He was born in Haifa.
In his homeland, he spends the time of his childhood and youth, completing the course of study up to high school graduation and living with his family.
1943: He arrives in Italy and meets Father Luigi Novarese.
He arrives in Italy to accompany an uncle in need of care.
While attending the Roman parish of the Patron Saints of Italy, she comes into contact with Fr. Luigi Novarese and begins to share pastoral zeal for suffering people.
She co-founded the work.
1943: Collaborates with Bishop Luigi Novarese in funding the work.
From this moment, her personal history is inseparably linked to the foundational path for the progressive constitution of different ecclesial realities devoted to valorizing suffering and the internal promotion of the suffering person since 1943. Sister Elvira Myriam Psorulla actively collaborates in the realization of the works.
1950: Senior Sister of the Silent Workers of the Cross.
Since the founding of the SODCs, Sister Elvira Myriam Psorulla has assumed the role of responsible for the women’s branch with the title of senior sister. She will carry out this task in observance of the spirit and teachings of Bishop Luigi Novarese, in close collaboration, and, after his death, in faithful memory.
The last few years.
1992: Resigns from government functions.
In 1992, at 82, she resigned from government functions as SODC Women’s Branch Leader, confirming the title of Senior Sister, which the 1964 Statutes reserved for her person.
December 30, 2009: dies.
She died in Rome on December 30, 2009, at 99.
In the last twenty years of her existence, Sister Elvira was a discreet and always well-liked presence, guardian of the memory and the associative spirit of her origins.
