Silence –  is the qualification of our life. Tent for God’s dwelling in our heart and integrity of self-giving in the apostolate.

Cross – Together with the Mother of Jesus, we stand beside those who suffer, always recognizing the immense value of the person and his capacity to love. With Mary, we proclaim the new life of the resurrection.

Work –  for us is that of the Cross: the work of salvation. We translate it into pastoral and socio-rehabilitation action, working with disabled and suffering people.

The “Silent Workers of the Cross,” founded by Msgr. Luigi Novarese and Sister Elvira Myriam Psorulla in 1950, bring together in a single charismatic and juridical reality clerics and lay people in full communion with the Catholic Church and is based in Italy at Ariano Irpino (Avellino) at the sanctuary “Salus infirmorum”.

The ”Silent Workers of the Cross”, through the practice of the evangelical counsels, implement the requests for prayer and penance presented by the Blessed Virgin at Lourdes and Fatima, in “total dedication to the redemptive plan of the Cross. The belonging to God of the Silent Workers of the Cross is implemented in the inner unity of mind, heart and action to “realize the goal of the much sought after solitude and inner silence (Hosea 2:14)… God thus becomes the only goal of one’s existence. The life of a Silent Worker of the Cross must be a lived proclamation of the power and everlasting necessity of the Cross, running on the track of humility and obedience (Philippians 2:5-11) traced and traversed by Jesus Christ.”
